Who We Are

Our product is customizable fusible foil. We use multiple colors of fusible foils, metallic, sparkly, matte, or regular. We place the desired color within the silhouette machine. We use illustrator to vectorize or create the design, then we bring the design into the silhouette software. Once in the software, we finalize the design and make sure the outlines are correct for cutting. Then we load the foil in the machine and start the cutting. The design is quickly cut out of the foil, then we unload the foil, and peel it off of the sheet with transfer paper. Once we have the design ready, we ship it out and the customer applies it to their belongings with an iron.

A lot of lessons were learned throughout of this project. We learned about ordering materials and the difficulty of determining the best quality material for the best price. Then we learned to account for trial and error with getting the silhouette cutter to produce the desired design. We finally learned about marketing and how word of mouth advertising compares with social media campaigns. Also a lot of great memories were made!

The project was overall really exciting and we are so happy we had the opportunity to do it. Our team learned about the overall process of starting a business in a safe environment before we actually bring our own businesses to the real world. We learned what our strengths and weaknesses when being on a team. Most of all we enjoyed promoting a great product such as FUZE.
